Drawing on a pattern

If your goal is not to learn how to easily draw a heart by hand, it is easiest to use a template or stencil. You can find pictures on the internet, print them out and cut them out, or you can make one yourself.

To make a heart template, take a sheet of paper of the required size and fold it in half. On the fold draw a heart-shaped half of the heart, similar to a drop, the desired size.

Then, without unbending the sheet, cut out the heart according to the outline drawn. Unfold the sheet. You will have a flat heart template for later use.

Now, to draw the heart, just trace the resulting template. Coloring can be done as you wish with pencils, markers or paints. With highlights and shadows can make your drawing three-dimensional.

There is another interesting trick. Circle the template once, then move it a little to the right and down and circle it again. Then erase the excess, so that you get a heart, as if it were made from a narrow ribbon.

How to draw a heart with a pencil

First, we need to choose a simple pencil for sketching. We will need to erase unnecessary lines after the heart sketch is done.

Simple pencils marked H and HB will be suitable for this purpose. These are hard and medium slate pencils. They can be used to make a light sketch that can then be easily erased.

When sketching, the pressure should be very light. If you put a lot of pressure on the pencil, then the paper will remain dents even after you erase the lines with the eraser. When it is necessary to make a drawing more clear and to outline the shadows, a pencil marked 2B is suitable.

Having decided on the marking, let's start drawing with a pencil. The main difficulty in drawing by hand is keeping symmetry. Consider two ways to make the halves of the heart the same.

A heart based on a rectangle

  1. Draw a rectangle with an aspect ratio of 3:4.
  2. On each side of the rectangle mark the middle.
  3. The resulting segments once again divide in half with dashes.
  4. These marks help determine where the curves of the heart. Now, smooth lines draw first one half, and then the second.
  5. After the heart is drawn, erase the rectangle with an eraser.

Heart on the basis of circles

  1. Draw two equal circles, adjacent to each other horizontally.
  2. Along the diameters of the circles draw a straight horizontal line.
  3. From the edges of this line, draw two segments, so as to obtain a triangle.
  4. Smooth lines depict the heart according to the scheme.
  5. Erase auxiliary lines eraser.

Three-dimensional heart with pencil

After the outlines of the drawing are made, you can make a three-dimensional heart. To do this, use a softer pencil to draw shadows.

  1. Draw around the heart with a soft pencil to make the borders clearer.
  2. On the right side, beyond the borders of the heart, make a black shadow that is wider in the middle of the heart and narrower to the edges.
  3. Take a red pencil and paint the inside of the heart, making the light more intense toward the edges and less intense toward the center.
  4. You will get a glare in the middle. Make it bigger on the left side. To do this, add a little more red to the right side.
  5. Now you need to make all the color transitions smooth. To do this, flatten the borders with a piece of paper.

Hearts with decorative elements

If you want to complement the drawn heart with all sorts of cute details, this is also easy to do. Arrows, wings, ribbons, and bows will fit harmoniously into the drawing. A little practice and you can draw quickly and easily.

How to draw a heart with an arrow

A romantic and very beautiful heart with an arrow as a symbol of love is very easy to draw. First, draw a sketch of the heart in any way you like. Then start drawing the arrow:

  1. After stepping back a little from the edge of the heart, mark with a small semicircle the place where the arrow will hit.
  2. From this point, draw two even strips that go beyond the heart boundary.
  3. Erase the heart border between the strips so that the arrow comes to the fore.
  4. Draw the tail of the arrow.
  5. On the other side of the heart, outside of its borders, draw two stripes, making sure they are flush with the part of the arrow that is already drawn.
  6. Draw the arrowhead.
  7. Paint the picture.

How to draw a heart with wings

The winged heart is a little harder to draw than the arrow. You'll need to spend more time on the details. First draw the heart with a pencil:

  1. On the right and left sides of the heart, draw two zigzags with rounded corners.
  2. At the bottom of one after the other feathers.
  3. Add another row of feathers for more volume.
  4. Colour the picture as you wish.

How to Draw a Heart with Ribbon

A ribbon with an inscription will perfectly complement the drawn heart. Especially if it has a declaration of love or the name of a loved one written on it:

  1. In the middle of the heart, draw two horizontal strips, slightly beyond the borders of the heart.
  2. Connect the edges of the stripes with vertical stripes.
  3. Erase the extra lines inside the resulting ribbon.
  4. In the form of triangles, draw the edges of the ribbon just above the horizontal line.
  5. If desired, make an inscription on the ribbon.
  6. Color the resulting drawing.

How to Draw a Heart with a Bow

It's very easy to draw a cute bow on the heart. As before, we will first need a pre-drawn heart:

  1. On the left side of the heart, draw the middle of the bow. It can be round or as a rectangle with rounded corners.
  2. Draw a bow with wavy edges and ribbons coming off of it.
  3. Across the whole heart, draw two curved lines coming from the bow.
  4. The drawing can now be colored.

How to Draw a Heart with a Pattern

There are many options for drawing patterns on the heart. You can draw patterns by hand, use stencils or resort to some fancy techniques. Let's look at a few of the ways.

Patterns with the help of a stencil

To make a stencil, you can cut out a heart template, as described above, and use it as a base.

You should draw the desired patterns or inscriptions on the heart, and then carefully cut them out with scissors or a stationery knife. So you get a stencil that can be used repeatedly.

Another way to make a stencil is to fold the paper heart several times. Then it is necessary to make cuts similar to those made when cutting out snowflakes. So you get an unusual stencil with abstract patterns.

Hand-drawn patterns

One of the most beautiful types of patterns are monograms. Unusual curls seem difficult to draw only at first glance. A little practice and the monograms are already beautiful very quickly.

It is easier to draw them with brushes or special watercolor markers. There are also training cards, where you can practice your skills in drawing curls. You can easily find them on the Internet and print them out.

Simple prints and drawings

You don't have to draw complicated compositions on a heart. For a beautiful design, a simple print is often enough. For example, a heart in a plaid or stripe will look no less original than fancy patterns.

And if the borders of the cells are drawn not in a straight line, but curved, then your drawing will be three-dimensional. Another interesting print is the polka dot, which is essentially a polka dot. Such a heart will definitely not go unnoticed. It is also not uncommon for hearts to be drawn with funny smiling faces.

A drawn heart, while looking simple, carries a lot of meaning. Love in all its manifestations is reflected in this symbol. That's why it's given in different interpretations to the people you love.

Try different drawings and apply new techniques. Learn how to beautifully draw the heart by hand, you will develop your creativity and be able to cheer up not only yourself, but also those who are dear to you.
