Pencil drawing of a hedgehog

Let's draw a hedgehog in profile step by step. For drawing we need a sheet of paper, a pencil, an eraser:

  1. Take a scrapbook sheet and put it horizontally. On the left and right side of the sheet we put points marking the middle of the side. These are the dimensions of the animal's body, showing its width. From the top of the sheet put another point at the height of which will be the back of the animal. The result is a triangle.
  2. Start drawing a broken line with small links, starting it between the left and top point and ending in the right one. This is the needle body of the animal.
  3. Draw the snout hedgehog. Picture it in the form of an elongated oval, ending at the left point. Draw two small oval ears near the end of the zigzag, between them also draw needles.
  4. Detail the muzzle. Draw a smile in the form of an arc, two small round eyes, in which we mark the pupils. Complement the row of needles, drawing a zigzag next to the ears and near the edge of the sheet.
  5. Draw the hedgehog's stomach. Draw an arc, starting from the middle of the muzzle and bringing it to the edge of the needles. Thus leave room for paws, which are drawn on the left and right side of the arc in two pieces.

The painted hedgehog looks from the picture to the artist. Now he can paint. We paint the needles in dark brown, paws, muzzle and belly in beige, eyes, mouth and nose in black.

Draw another hedgehog in pencil.

In this work, more small parts and more complex construction. The drawing is more elaborate.

Any child of primary school age can cope with drawing, especially if an adult will help him:

  1. In the center of the sheet, outline the borders of the hedgehog's muzzle. Draw two points at a distance of 2 cm, above and below.
  2. Draw a segment between the two points.
  3. A little below the middle of the segment we put a mark and draw a horizontal segment through it. Its length must be equal to the distance between the marker and the upper point.
  4. At the edge of the horizontal draw a circle, which will represent the nose of a hedgehog.
  5. Outline the nose with an oval border. The left side should go under the circle, the right side is left uncovered.
  6. Under it draw the mouth of a hedgehog in the form of two semi-ovals.
  7. Just above the spout draw the hedgehog's eyes. Draw one oval in the area of the muzzle, and another - slightly beyond the contour. Draw two circles in them to represent the pupils.
  8. Draw the cheeks, showing them as a line leading from the bottom of the mouth to the side and to the eyes. Draw semi-ovals above the eyes.
  9. Start drawing a broken line on the edges of the muzzle and continue it along the length of the body. Draw paws under the needle layer.
  10. Draw the outline with a black felt-tip marker and draw the eyebrows. Shading black nose, mouth and pupils. Torso and feet do brown, needles - gray, with shading them. Eyes give blue, line the mouth make red.

You can add background details to the finished drawing, for example, grass, butterflies or mushrooms.

Let's picture a hedgehog carrying an apple on its needles:

  1. Draw a horizontal wide oval, denoting the torso.
  2. On top draw a circle, which will make an apple.
  3. Make a rounded notch on the left side of the oval, lengthen it and bend it to the bottom. At the end we draw a small oval nose.
  4. Draw a stalk on the apple, draw a leaf on it and make veins on it. Give the apple a more natural shape by making a hollow on top.
  5. We make the outline more clear, increasing the pressure of the pencil. Around the torso, create a needle layer, drawing a zigzag line with links of different lengths. Out of it should look triangular muzzle.
  6. Draw the eye in the form of a small circle. Inside make a black pupil with a small white glare. Paint over the black nose, leaving a small white spot.
  7. Paint the apple yellow. Outline with pink. On top of the yellow surface do pink strokes.
  8. Shading the area of the leaf lettuce pencil. The upper half is painted over dark green, the contour of the bottom trace the same color.
  9. We paint the hedgehog needles light brown. Use strokes in several rows, from the outer to the inner.
  10. Make several zigzags with black lines on a light brown background, highlighting the individual needles on the body of the hedgehog.

Drawing a hedgehog with an apple on his back. This is a classic image of a hedgehog from children's fairy tales.

Painting with paints

Paints are considered a more sophisticated medium for drawing than pencils. A pencil mark can be erased with an eraser; a painted surface cannot be corrected in any way.

Nevertheless it is an interesting way to create images on paper with much more possibilities in terms of technique and number of colors. There are many kinds of brushes for different types of painting.

Let's try drawing a hedgehog for children with paints:

  1. We put a sheet of paper in a horizontal position, dip the brush in white paint.
  2. Draw a circle in the middle, completely filling its insides. This is the basis of the future drawing.
  3. On the side we draw an elongated pointed oval. This is the snout of the hedgehog.
  4. Wait until the white background dries and you can draw on it with other colors.
  5. Draw black paint on the brush, having previously washed it from the white color.
  6. Draw black needles on a single body. Draw lines in the opposite direction from the muzzle, shading the entire surface. To do this, use a broad brush.
  7. Dip the brush in brown paint, before washing it.
  8. Draw a snout and paws, located under the body.
  9. Take a thin brush and draw black paint.
  10. We depict the needles, draw eyes and nose on the muzzle.

To make the image lively, you can put a hedgehog apple on the needle back. On the ground draw the grass, mushrooms and other possible details.

Let's picture a hedgehog with an acorn in his hands. For the picture we will need gouache paints, different brushes, palette, a container of water, scissors:

  1. Mark the borders of the drawing with two lines, upper and lower.
  2. Just below the upper boundary, draw two arcs and continue them downwards, slightly narrowing.
  3. Below draw a rounded paw, continuing the lines.
  4. We depict the nose. On top draw an inverted triangle. Above him draw a small soul. From the bottom apex of a triangular nose draw two curved lines. Between them draw two arcs, indicating the mouth.
  5. On both sides of the nose draw two round eyes. Above them draw eyebrows in the form of two oblique ovals. Drawing them curved triangular eyelashes.
  6. Circle the hedgehog arc, passing through the top line. Make a zigzag line. Needless pencil trace erase.
  7. Draw front paws. Between the bottom draw a line connecting them. Draw a belly in the form of an arc.
  8. On the head we draw a hat in the form of the top of an acorn.
  9. Mix on a palette of white paint and ochre. Paint the body in this color, using a broad brush. Make the needles brown.
  10. Leave a white oval next to the lower paws and muzzle.
  11. Add more white in the ochre. We paint the belly with this color.
  12. Draw a black outline of the hedgehog's body and mouth, paint the nose and eyes.
  13. Paint the hat with ochre. Draw many vertical strokes on it.
  14. Take lightened ochre and make strokes on the needle coat of a hedgehog. Draw them from the center to the edges.
  15. Create highlights on the eyes and nose.
  16. On a separate sheet of paper draw acorn. Draw the lower part in the form of a pointed oval, the upper part in the form of a semicircle, from which the stem departs.
  17. Paint the lower part with dark brown, the top - in the same way as the cap hedgehog.
  18. Cut out the acorn. Glue it between the legs of the animal.

The drawing is completed, the hedgehog is drawn. Most of all, it resembles a cartoon character.

A hedgehog in pastel

Let's depict a pastel hedgehog in cartoon graphics, standing near a tree trunk in autumn:

  1. Draw the torso of the hedgehog as a horizontally lying oval. On the side, draw a small vertical oval that extends beyond the torso. To him draw a triangle with a curved top.
  2. Draw a zigzag line over the back, passing into a smooth oblique line, passing through the border of the abdomen.
  3. Take the brown pastel. Draw the eyes and nose of the hedgehog in the form of two fat dots and four legs on the hedgehog's belly, which have pointed ends. At the edge of the oval draw a semicircular ear with a crease inside.
  4. Around the brown color line the abdomen and create a ridge on his face, indicating the chin of the animal. The same color highlight the line of the nose and create an arched smile.
  5. Erase unnecessary pencil lines. Leave only the forehead line.
  6. Take a dark brown pastel. Image strokes needles all over the back of a hedgehog.
  7. Add light brown strokes. This way the needle layer will be more dense and natural.
  8. Paint over the abdomen and muzzle in beige.
  9. Under the hedgehog's legs, draw a layer of leaves of an oblong shape. To do this, use green pastel. Create brown strokes on them.
  10. On the side of the leaf depict the trunk of the tree, using gray pastel. Draw the root system and create lots of lines on the bark to give texture. Brush the pastel with your finger.

The hedgehog is drawn. The dull pastel tones allow you to convey the atmosphere of an autumnal forest.

If you follow the instructions carefully, anyone without any artistic skills can do the drawing. Children will enjoy the opportunity to draw a hedgehog on their own.
