An easy child's drawing of a ballerina

Everyone can draw a ballerina step by step, especially the drawing for children will be the easiest. For a child's drawing, you will need a simple pencil and felt-tip pens:

  1. First, draw a circle that is rounded and extended downward in an arc, forming the chin.
  2. In the area of the elongated arc, draw an arc-shaped segment pointing at a soft angle downward. This will be the mouth.
  3. A little higher up, draw another arc-shaped segment, but smaller, representing the tip of the nose.
  4. Going up a little higher, two symmetrical parts of a semicircle are drawn, and the distance between the eyes is respected. To add charm, we add eyelashes.
  5. On top of the circle, a hairstyle is drawn. It can be depicted in the form of a cap, you can also draw bangs, but on top there will still be a tied ponytail.
  6. When the head is completely ready, then proceed to the rest of the body. From the bottom of the face, chin, drawn two thin parallel lines. This will be a refined neck.
  7. From the neck the shoulders and arms are drawn, and the details of the upper part of the dress are drawn. The arms can be drawn in voluminous arcs. The arms are in a position that tends to each other, as in a typical ballet pose. The top of the dress includes straps and a sash.
  8. Along the sash, a horizontal arc is drawn downward. It will be the basis for a graceful ballet tutu. Next, extend the arc and finish drawing it. At the bottom, from the bottom of the skirt, make a wavy edge and you can even depict in several layers.
  9. From under the edge of the skirt traced 2 legs, which are depicted in the form of two horizontal thin oblong ovals.
  10. Dancing shoes are drawn on the thin ovals from below. The legs as a whole are detailed, thin and unrepressed lines can be sketched knees.
  11. The resulting image should be fully detailed and outlined with a black felt-tip pen or black pencil.
  12. Now it's time to color the picture. To color the skin, you can use a soft pink or beige shade. The color of the hair can be anything, but in our case, let it be blonde, so we take a yellow felt-tip pen. The ballet costume is completely colored in pink, although you can combine colors and make the outfit colored.

Drawing a ballerina with marker pen in cartoon style

Children of preschool and primary school age will love the opportunity to portray a ballet dancer in cartoon style. Children watch all kinds of cartoons that have different drawing styles, so each child will try to portray ballerinas in the spirit of their favorite cartoon:

  1. If you have confidence in your skills, you can immediately draw the main lines with a black felt-tip pen.
  2. The bottom part of the head is drawn in a rounded shape. Without finishing the arc at the top of the head, you should immediately proceed with the hairstyle. The hairstyle itself will be quite short, with braided ponytails on the sides. You can also add bangs. To make the outfit more festive, you can add a bow at the top of the head in the same color as the main outfit.
  3. The eyes can be drawn large, which will take up most of the face. In many cartoons, characters have big eyes, they are the most emphasized because they express all sorts of emotions. They will be similar to the eyes of LOL dolls. Let's not forget about the other facial features: the nose and mouth. For their depiction, simple small lines will be enough.
  4. Next, the neck and shoulders are drawn. In this costume, forearm will be open. Just below the shoulder is drawn the upper part of the dress. Next, the waist of the ballet dancer is expressively drawn. Drawing the upper body also includes the upper extremities - the arms. They can be drawn as if pulled apart at the sides.
  5. Near the arms, a puffed skirt in several layers is drawn. The legs will be long, they are elegantly folded crosswise between them. Shoes are drawn on the end of the legs.
  6. Next we need colored pencils. The dress will be colored in a shade of blue. It is not necessary to paint everything densely and evenly, in this image you can try to make the drawing more volumetric, dissolving the dress, highlighting the shadows, leaving light areas, making soft transitions. It is important in the process to be guided by a previously found picture of a ballet outfit.

Dark silhouette of a ballerina with paints

From performances at gala concerts you can often see aesthetic shots where the ballerina, who has assumed a graceful position, stands gracefully in the rays of spotlights and other lighting equipment, and in the background of hundreds or even thousands of spectators, who look at the performance with admiration.

A semblance of such a shot can be created by following the instructions. For this drawing, you need ordinary gouache, a palette for mixing shades, a jar of water, and several brushes:

  1. First, it is important to create a background for the silhouette, which is best done in an abstract style. White gouache is mixed with blue gouache to create a soft blue shade. This shade is used to create an abstract background with neat and unpretentious strokes. Then the background is gradually darkened. The middle remains light, and at the edges it is necessary to apply dark blue strokes, then a simple blue color, closer to the middle the color blue.
  2. Now preparing the drawing of the silhouette. The blue paint is lightly mixed with a black shade. A thin brush is taken and a graceful silhouette of a ballet dancer is drawn. It is necessary to be guided by the reference - a previously found image, suitable for the subject.
  3. When the dark silhouette is depicted, you can give a three-dimensional image with the help of delicate strokes of white paint in key areas of the figure of a ballerina: the bundle, arms, and ballet tutu. The brush should not be too wet, even quite dry. The dark figure must also be well dried. Strokes are made with a special flat brush.

Ballerina with a simple pencil

For this drawing, 2 pencils are needed: a soft pencil and a medium soft pencil. One for sketching, and the other for outlining general features and highlighting details.

A ballerina with a simple pencil will be especially refined if you make sure that the hand movements when drawing are gentle and made with feeling.

  1. Everything starts with sketches with a soft pencil. The lines are light and without much pressure. It is not recommended to use an eraser in the process of sketching.
  2. Sketches are drawn along pre-created proportional lines. Areas of the body parts are fully depicted, so that the torso looks harmonious.
  3. Drawing the body of ballerina, completely guided by the reference.
  4. Let the silhouette be reminiscent of the letter X, flowing smoothly into the torso. The tutu is drawn in the same way as in the previous tutorials. To make it easy to draw the ballet tutu, we start by drawing an oval. The bottom of the skirt is also wavy, you can draw several wavy layers.
  5. Arms and legs are depicted as sticks, but you need to make full-fledged arms and legs from the lines.
  6. Various shadows and creases are depicted on the ballet garment where they are needed. The knees are also highlighted. Ballet shoes are well drawn.
  7. For the drawing to turn out volumetric and realistic, it is necessarily necessary to give the right places shadows and wavy lines.

The resulting image can be a great addition to the interior of a child's room.
