How to make soap bubble solution with your own hands: recipes for cooking at home

Soap bubbles are the easiest and most fascinating activity for children and adults, causing fun and allowing them to show their creative abilities.

Bubbles made from the thinnest multilayer film of soapy water vary in shape and impress with their uniqueness and beauty, shimmering with all the colors of the rainbow. In addition, you can play with them regardless of the time of year - outdoors, taking a bath, running them home or on a holiday in kindergarten.

Children's interest in fun lasts for a long time. The pleasure does not require spending a large sum of money. But, unfortunately, the contents of the bottle quickly runs out, and then there is a problem of how to prepare high-quality soap composition with your own hands at home.

To make balls well blown and fly far without bursting for a long time, you need to follow the secrets of preparation, mix water with soap correctly, sometimes adding additional components to influence the color and create different shapes.

How to make soap bubble solution: recipes at home

The basis of any solution is water and soap. But in order to ensure optimal viscosity, it is necessary to observe the technology of preparation and the proportions of the input ingredients. The liquid is better to use distilled (boil, cool).

Classic recipe

The classic recipe involves mixing 20 ml of warm water (to improve the solubility of the liquid should not be too cold) with liquid soap, about 100 ml (if there is no liquid, then take a solid bar and grind it, for example, rubbing it on a grater). Mix everything thoroughly.

The colorful balls are particularly delightful when they will not burst for a long time, about 5-7 seconds, or even minutes. This effect will hold if you observe the secret of the classic method - the time of insisting the solution for about two hours at room temperature or in the refrigerator.

With glycerin

Also refers to the classic recipes for preparing a composition for launching beautiful balls. Adding the organic compound gives strength and long "survivability":

  • Mix water (approximate volume - half a liter) with liquid soap (50 ml) and pour in glycerin (two tbsp. is enough). All the components should be well mixed and also to stand the resulting mass for 2 hours, so that it insists.
  • At home you can prepare your own glycerin, mixing urea with magnesium or potassium chloride, but much easier to buy it at any drugstore at a very reasonable price.
  • This substance is safe, it is used in the manufacture of cosmetics, it will not cause any harm to the skin of a child, even if it gets on his face. It does not change the color of clothes, and if it gets in the eyes, it does not sting.
  • Well-prepared mixture gives a striking result - balloons, successfully landing on the pavement or other horizontal surface, turning into hemispheres and held sometimes even for 10, and even 15 minutes.

Another recipe with glycerin, which the connoisseurs have, to make the bubbles the strongest and longest-lasting.

Mix 600 ml of hot water (but not boiling water) with 50 g of detergent (other foaming agent), add 300 glycerin and 20 drops of ammonia alcohol. Stir to a homogeneous mass, infuse for 2-3 days, then filter and store in the refrigerator.

Without glycerin

If there is no pharmacy remedy at home, and you do not want to go to buy, you can use food.

For example, use gelatin (50 g), mixed with purified water (200 ml). Pour the foaming compound (100 ml). At the end, sprinkle at least 50 g of sugar (you can slightly more, so that the balls in the air retain their shape longer). All components should be thoroughly mixed.

The method is provided for one-time use. Sugar replaces the pharmacy substance.

Keeping the solution in the refrigerator for later use makes no sense, since the bubbles just won't blow out, but the fun for a few hours is guaranteed, especially since the container usually runs out much faster.

From laundry soap

The method is suitable for those who like colorful neat spheres, which have enough strength not to burst immediately after blowing. For warm summer days, you can prepare a large volume of solution to use for daily walks outside or triple the foam party:

  • Take a whole bar of regular laundry soap and grate shavings from it.
  • Boil 400 ml of water in a pot, and add the soap in batches, stirring well.
  • Turn down the heat to low, and leave on the stove, stirring occasionally, until a viscous, thick and homogeneous consistency is formed.
  • The mixture should stand for about 2 days, it can be stored in the refrigerator for a long time, for example, a week.
  • It should be kept at room temperature before direct use, or better in the refrigerator.
  • You can add a little sugar and ammonia alcohol (about 1 tsp.) to make it shimmer with all the colors of the rainbow.

Using liquid soap.

The preparation can be made in any amount, the main thing is to observe the proportions. Mix 20 ml of warm water and 100 ml of liquid soap. Wait until the foam settles, about a couple of hours.

After that, add some glycerin (10 drops are enough), let it infuse, for example, in the refrigerator. If soap is not enough, then use shampoo or other household detergents (separately, or mixed in parts).

From laundry detergent.

To dissolve all the components effectively, take hot water (3 cups) to work:

  • Pour washing powder (a couple of tablespoons), mix well and splash in ammonia, about 20 drops.
  • It is desirable to infuse the resulting composition for 3-4 days, and then filter it, for example, through several layers of gauze.

Yes, you will have to wait, but the soap film will be strong, and the blown out spheres will be especially unusual and large in diameter, as in a colorful show.

From sugar syrup

This method will especially appeal to the inquisitive mind of children, because the most diverse and unique shapes and forms are preserved for several minutes from this composition on the smooth surface of the table or floor.

To keep the effect for a long time, it is necessary to observe the recipe and proportions, namely:

  • take 1 part of the syrup: the concentration of water (10 ml) and sugar (50 g) is obtained 1:5;
  • 8 parts warm water;
  • soap (can be hard, grated into shavings) - 2 parts;
  • glycerin - 2 parts.

Or another version of the recipe:

  • 400 ml of water (boiled, cooled);
  • 100 g of grated soap (shavings);
  • 200 g of liquid glycerin;
  • 60 ml of sugar syrup: warm water (10 ml) and granulated sugar (50 g).

Using this method you can arrange a colorful show at home, in a kindergarten group or at school, creating unique shaped combinations, connecting in series bubbles from heavy-duty film.

With the addition of detergent

In a pot pour 2 cups of water pour 0.5 cup of gel, which wash the dishes, but not a special product for dishwashers.

Then add sugar (a couple of teaspoons) or glycerin in the same amount and stir thoroughly.

To make the figures more colorful, leave the resulting mixture for 1 day (you can put it in the fridge).

From shampoo.

You will need water (better boiled and cooled) in an amount of 400 ml, add to it shampoo (you can children) in the volume of 200 ml, mix well and let everything insist for about 24 hours.

To increase the viscosity, it is recommended to add glycerin (3 tbsp.) or sugar (6 tsp.) before use.

Colored soap bubbles

Preparing a solution at home for a fascinating pastime is interesting not only with numerous recipes, but also with the freedom of creative expression, including the ability to "play" with bright colorful hues.

Such multicolored soap bubbles will especially enjoy children, will delight adults, and pets will chase them with pleasure.

For this method you will need paint, excellent for ordinary watercolor, gouache, which can easily be washed from clothing, removed from other surfaces (floor, countertop, refrigerator, etc.).

It is better to prepare several containers at once, for example, 4-5, to get solutions of different colors. In step 1, the water is mixed with the gouache, the amount of which is added depending on the desired intensity of the color. After that, add the other components:

  • Mix 0.5 liters of water (purified, warm) with the paint of the desired color;
  • liquid soap or other foaming agent in an amount of 150 ml;
  • 20 grams of sugar.

Mix everything thoroughly, for the strength of the film you can add glycerin and ammonia alcohol, just a few drops.

Food coloring for variegation

The method is somewhat more complicated than in the recipe with gouache, but everything is learned in comparison, and this method should be tried to find out the "survivability" time of soap balls.

The sequence:

  • in half a liter of purified water add food coloring (liquid or in powder), gradually, focusing on the desired end result of the color;
  • Add 150 ml. of liquid soap (of a similar color, or colorless) to the color mixture;
  • Add the loose composition - mix gelatin and powdered sugar, observing the proportion of 1: 1, for example, 20 g of each component;
  • Everything is thoroughly mixed to a homogeneous consistency and left to infuse for 8 hours, such as overnight.

Big Soap Bubbles

The fun should last a long time. Especially if a birthday party, foam party or outdoor party and picnic is planned. The event should be approached responsibly and the solution should be prepared in advance, such as the night before.

For blowing large and heavy bubbles, take as a base any shampoo or other, well foaming product (shampoo, shower gel or dishwashing).

Add 300 ml of purified water at room temperature (warm) and glycerin in an amount not less than 1-2 tbsp. and the same amount of sugar. Mix thoroughly until homogeneous mass, put in the refrigerator for 10-12 hours.

You get great big "long-playing" bubbles, which can be blown in series, sticking them together to create bizarre shapes and configurations and filming them on video. For "iridescence" you can pour 20 drops of ammonia.

If there will be a big party and a lot of participants, the proportions will be as follows:

  • Take five liters of water;
  • Pour 200 grams of sugar in it;
  • Pour 200 grams of glycerine into the mixture;
  • Use 1 liter of dishwashing liquid.

Extra-strength bubbles

When preparing a colorful show, a matinee in kindergarten or a performance at school, you need to take the organization of the event seriously and prepare a composition that ensures that the flying spheres will not burst for a long time.

How do you prepare the mixture so that the balloons won't burst even if you touch them with your hands? Of course, you can buy specialized gel in a specialized store for crafts and handicrafts, but you can prepare a fairly effective composition in the kitchen at home:

  • Gently melt 100 g of granulated sugar in a saucepan, adding a small amount of water and constantly stirring until a homogeneous consistency.
  • Pour gradually the water, you will need a total of 1.5 liters.
  • Gradually, in small portions, introduce 100 g of gelatin, stirring all the time.
  • Then 50 ml of foaming base (dishwashing detergent is better, but you can also shampoo or liquid soap).
  • Add 200 ml of glycerin for viscosity and firmness.
  • Add 10-20 drops of ammonia alcohol.
  • Filter it through, for example, a few layers of gauze.
  • Let it stand for at least 12 hours. Several days can be stored in the refrigerator.
  • It is desirable to keep the mixture cool before using it directly.

Quality Control

The shape, size, strength and "durability" of the bubbles depend on the recipe chosen, the set of ingredients and the sequence of preparation and proportions of ingredients.

The best indicator of quality are neat balloons or fancy multi-layered figures, shimmering with all the colors of the rainbow and flying in the air not only for a few seconds, but even a few minutes.

To check the quality, inflate the soap sphere and then dip your finger into the foam of the prepared and touch the balloon.

If it does not burst - the quality is excellent, the composition is prepared competently.

If the sphere does not inflate or bursts quickly, it is not a reason to be upset - you should simply add foaming agent (shampoo, soap, detergents), glycerin (a few drops) or sugar.

What items to inflate?

Of course, you should keep (at least 1 copy) of a store container with a ready-made form (product) for blowing soap bubbles. You can buy a special water gun. You can also use other objects and means:

  • A straw, a macaroni, the main part of a ballpoint pen, a juice pipe (it can be split at one end), etc;
  • a funnel or a paper rolled up in a cone (preferably thick cardboard);
  • A plastic bottle with the bottom cut off. Air should be blown in through the neck, and the size and shape will depend on the volume of the bottle;
  • racquets for badminton or lawn tennis (the net can be removed or the cells can be moved apart), carpet beater;
  • palms - soaking your hands in a basin with a mixture, you can blow unique shapes through your fingers. Fold a "heart" using two hands or a ring by joining your thumb with your index finger;
  • Many people use dough cutter molds or children's toys to mold sand goblets;
  • construct frames, for example, by twisting wire;
  • To create large shapes, a hoop is well suited, sometimes wrapped in cloth to hold more liquid.

It is possible to make soap figures not only in summer. It is especially interesting and educational to conduct an experiment outside in winter - at atmospheric temperature of -7 degrees, the soap ball will freeze in the air.

Fascinating soap fun is always remembered as one of the more fun children's activities. Small and large in size, neatly round or intricately layered, colorful and varied, they will decorate any holiday and occupy a child at any time of year.
